This innovation relates to optimization and reduction of energy consumption in commercial and residential buildings, households and hotels.
Heating, cooling and ventilation systems, in most buildings, are not connected to the central system, which is a condition for providing temperature balancing in buildings, which provides different temperature conditions in different parts of the building, thus achieving significant savings in consumption of the energy that provides desirable living conditions.
We apply a special way of managing equipment for automation in buildings, manufactured by ELKO EP from the Czech Republic. The algorithm is based on controlling radiators, heat sinks and ventilation system based on data collected within a certain zone (room) in which the regulation of conditions is performed. The person in the certain space has the possibility of setting the desired conditions and based on the deviation of the current conditions from the desired ones, the system control of the executive devices provides desired conditions in a space.

From 2013 Montenegro Destinations Agency agency provides a wide range of services in the field of agency mediation, representation, supply, procurement of necessary products and services, all the way to innovative sustainable and eco-friendly touristic activities all over the Montenegrin coast.
From 2018 we have introduced a brand-new offer in Montenegro – eco- friendly tours with Tuk Tuk vehicles. Tuk tuk is an open, three-wheeled vehicle of eye-catching design, originated from Thailand, and now is popular worldwide. Auto-rickshaw, or tuk tuk is a great way for tourists to experience and feel the destination, traveling slowly and silently, being in the open and absorbing the views, sounds and smells from the outside. They get better connected with the surroundings comparing to driving in a car or a bus.
We have also included in our shore excursion offer over 10 ecotourism sites in Montenegro and tasting of homemade organic Montenegrin products (old villages, family farms, wineries and estates) which includes local participation and are able to provide direct benefits that might offset pressure from other less sustainable activities that make use of natural and cultural resources.

Školjke Boke d.o.o. is the first and only shellfish oysters farm in Montenegro situated in the calm and natural coastal environment in Orahovac (Ljuta Bay). Production and farming process is built on the principles of sustainable development, using eco-friendly technologies and equipment, which also gives the possibility of a natural system of purification that is clean and healthy organic food from the water close to several permanent freshwater sources and 100 m the river of Ljuta.
The founder and owner, eng. Nevres Djeric since 2002 has been working on the study related to the potentials and risks related to the oysters farming and from 2007 he started up farming business. Intellectual Property Office of Montenegro approved his patent number 00 302 as "Apparatus for collecting, receiving and shellfish farming - oyster."
Monitoring and development of the entire project from the near beginning was followed by the Institute of Marine Biology from Kotor, headed by prof.dr Sreten Mandic, dr Aleksandar Joksimovic and Mario Bussani (President of the Italian Federation for mariculture Trieste).
Finally in 2012 Montenegro got the new brand - a product of "the Montenegrin Oyster". Certified and approved by relevant national authorities which guarantee the quality of biologically correct and healthy food produced according to high standards (e.g. HACCAP).
The core business of the company is based on the sustainable principles and micro circular process. Also, aiming to reduce and minimize ecological impacts the company established totally “green” environment, from the premises made of recycled materials below the sea water, installation of alternative energy systems, reuse and repurpose of waste materials, waste composting, separation and wastewater treatment, organic production principles, etc.

Monte Marine Yachting firstly was founded in 1952. as a specialized company for reconstruction and reparation of ships. Since 1998. the Company has started with manufacturing of yachts, catamarans, small boats etc. They are also specialized for construction of electrical and solar catamarans and passenger vessels capable for transport of up to 100 people. The Company provides also expert services, consulting and support with establishing some new, innovative ideas in boat designing and manufacturing.
MMY has impressive working team which counts 5-20 staff members, who are responsible for design and calculations, selection of interior materials and equipment according to the customer’s wishes and requirements.

Bella Boka Sustainable Water Transport d.o.o. is a private company founded with specific aim to create new form of PUBLIC MARITIME TRANSPORT (tourism) focused on environmental and climate-friendly solutions.
Supported by the UNDP Montenegro, GEF, Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism of Montenegro, Chamber of Commerce of Montenegro “Bella Boka” provides liner maritime transport services for passengers and bikes with solar and hybrid powered boats on two regular lines around the Boka Kotorska Bay.
One solar boat ELETTRA and one hybrid boat GRACIANA already operate between Kotor, Perast, Tivat and Herceg Novi with multiple benefits, such as: reducing distances by car o bus, diminishing CO2 and CH4 emissions from fuel powered means of transport, protection of nature and biodiversity, prevention of fuel oil pollution, etc.
Such eco-friendly approach will lead to a reduction of Greenhouse Gasses (GHG) emissions, improvement of water quality management, nature and human health preservation.
Therefore, “Bella Boka” intends to support Montenegro in fulfilling its obligations towards the EU by promoting Sustainable Water Transport, reducing GHG emissions from ships and supporting implementation of climate friendly solutions.
Besides, “Bella Boka” with the solar cleaning boat promotes litter free policy and supports local actions toward collecting marine litter from the sea and inaccessible shoreline areas.
This multi modal eco-friendly transportation pilot project is expected to result in: construction and operation of in total 9 solar ships for passenger and bike transport (with capacity of 30 and 60 passengers), establishment and maintenance of in total 13 harbors, establishment and maintenance of in total 4 power supply stations (in Kotor, Tivat, Risan and Herceg Novi), establishment of in total 4 operational lines within the Boka Bay area.
This innovative pilot project is of at most importance for both touristic and maritime sectors in the Montenegro and represents great contribution to the preservation and protection of natural and cultural heritage of Montenegro.

Modern man is exposed to increasing levels of stress every day. Therefore, proper rest and sleep have a huge impact on maintaining health, because on average a person spends a third of his life in his sleep. The quality of sleep, among other things, depends on the quality of the used mattress.
The MATIS business system has so far developed mattresses that, among other things, are characterized by:
• use of natural materials with high air permeability,
• a complex multi-layered structure that provides support with elastic softness and
• Anatomical self-adjustment (the spinal column of sleep remains in the correct position).
In accordance with the previous, and in order to enrich the existing product range, our project case implies improvement and development towards smart sleeping mattresses. The mattress would be able to remember the body positions and biometric indicators of the person sleeping on it. With the help of appropriate sensors in the structure of the mattress, collection of various data would be realized (pulse, temperature, time spent in sleep, body position and pressures on individual body structures).
This data would be the input for the application on the mobile phone. Using developed mathematical models, the application would generate suggestions for improving health by improving the quality of sleep of those who sleep on a smart mattress MATISAN. The goal of the development of a smart MATISAN is optimal rest and improvement of health on the basis of quality sleep.

In its rich assortment, among other things, MATIS business system has produced the Boxspring Emotion bed with a stable and solid frame with a mattress made of natural materials and pocket spring cores that follow the contour of the body.. Additional advantages of the bed are: monotonous adjustment of the slat base, the possibility of use by both healthy people and people with deformities or diseases of the spine, increased load-bearing capacity and others. Modern man is exposed to increasing levels of stress. Therefore, proper rest and sleep have a huge impact on maintaining health. In this context, for the Boxspring Emotion bed, there is space to use the bed construction (frame) for additional purposes. On this basis, for the next generation of beds, MATIS plans to develop an anti-stress integrated device for programmed microclimate management in the sleeping area. The device would be modularly built into the bed frame and would contain sensors, dispensers and software that integratively optimizes the bed area and sleeping area (IoT, air ionizer, humidity adjustment, aroma therapy - essential oils, nature sounds, lighting , holographic images, augmented reality, components for micro-massage, foot heating, etc.. . . ). In the long history of ship design and construction, primary attention has been paid to ship stability. Additionally, sailing a ship in rough seas and high waves can cause seasickness of passengers and crew. A special attention for passenger comfort applies to beds in ship's sleeping cabins.
MATIS business system in its rich product range, produces a wide range of furniture. Existing products can be classic equipment for furnishing interiors in ship spaces (ship sleeping cabins, kitchens, dining rooms, restaurants).
In addition to the existing offer, and in accordance with the SHIPmEnTT project objectives, MATIS works on development an innovative idea of designing a boat bed to prevent seasickness. The bed needs to be easy for manufacturing and installation.
Also, the Anti-Seasickness Bed should be reliable and designed within the required limits (maximum angles of rotation and inclination in the expected load interval or mass of the passenger sleeping on this bed). This includes, among others, calculations and analyzes based on oscillation theory, gyroscope theory, finite element methods (FE-Finite Elements), etc. This bed system is expected to improve comfort for crew and passengers.

Obtaining energy from renewable sources and storing it for later consumption is an imperative of both the present and the future. One of the most common forms of energy that people use is thermal energy. The development of technology so far has enabled this type of energy to be produced in a large number of ways, but it has not given a definite answer as to how to save the produced energy for later consumption. In response to this problem, a number of technical solutions have been developed in the form of heat accumulators, but all these solutions suffer from technical or economic problems.
The idea of this paper is the integration of a special type of heat accumulator in a solar collector, which enables a simple, cheap and dimensionally acceptable system of production and distribution of thermal energy in the coming hours when such energy is needed. The distribution of thermal energy would be done through the air. The material used for energy accumulation is selected from materials that have the characteristic of a phase transition (phase-changing matter, i. e. PCM substances) and whose main characteristic is a large heat capacity while maintaining a constant operating temperature. This allows this system to be used even in relatively unfavourable weather conditions because it is able to store energy even at surface temperatures of the solar panel of 40◦C, which is easily achievable even in the winter months (especially in in coastal areas). These characteristics and the relative simplicity of construction make this system suitable for supplementing existing heating systems due to serious and environmentally friendly savings in heating costs.

Master Line System deals with manufacturing and installation of high-quality joinery and continuously works on improving features of its products (windows, doors). It developed new product, but prior to its production, it was necessary to conduct testing and measurements that will confirm better performances of the products. Examination of innovated product has been done by Innovation Center of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, and results of that research showed that innovated product has potential for laboratories for testing of windows and quality control.
Upon testing, ZRDA provided assistance in selection of adequate source of funding necessary to introduce new production line and development of the strategy to explore the potential of the product placement on the international market. Company received requested funds and started production, while further activities were focused on assessment of IP protection, since developed technical documentation can be used for IP protection (patent claims). Contacts between the company and Innovation Center and Zlatibor RDA were established during CNN Tech conference held on Zlatibor and organized by Innovation Center, where SHIPmEnTT project was promoted and services related to IP protection and access to finance presented to participating companies.

This system is automated, modular and designed to be scalable to fit in busy urban areas where available space is limited and expensive. It is also a viable solution for existing shopping centres and private residencies where for various reasons it is not feasible to add a bicycle garage (or secure parking spaces). This garage is completely enclosed from all sides, protection against the elements as well as protection against potential damage or theft.
It is designed to be completely automated. The doors will open via user input thru touchscreen only when the service is paid, according to owner preference of parking service charging (per hour, service, subscription...)
System usage is designed to be simple with minimum input from the user.
Bicycle is placed to the dedicated handling system that will lift the bicycle and position it accordingly in the best available space. Each slot is linked with user data identity (through dedicated parking cards, mobile phone NFC IDs, member cards for private usage etc...) so the possibility of error or misuse is eliminated or significantly reduced. The bicycle is retrieved through the same loading proprietary system which will transport automatically the bicycle from the parking slot to the user

There is no doubt that continuous exposure to very high levels of electromagnetic fields can be harmful to human health. Due to the negative cumulative effects of EM radiation and the growing number of artificial EM sources, it is necessary to devise economically acceptable concepts of EM radiation protection and prevention. This protection is especially important for work and living spaces (study rooms, office space, bedrooms…) in which a person resides for a long time.
In accordance with the above, the proposed idea includes the development of concepts, devices and materials that enable the absorption and reflection of a large portion of EM radiation (electromagnetic screens, protective coatings - metallic paints, special construction boards…) thus protecting work and rest space. The company active in the energy/eco-friendly technologies sector is developing new technology for the reduction of SF6 gas emissions from the existing equipment. At the SHIPmEnTT workshop on intellectual property rights, which was organised by TehnoCenter at the University of Maribor, they expressed their interest in a collaboration with researchers from the field of electrical engineering for conducting experiments in a high voltage laboratory. Under the supervision of their main innovator they wanted to conduct experiments with different types of gases and different equipment.
We carefully evaluated their needs to find a suitable match within the researcher community at the University of Maribor, and invited them to the SHIPmEnTT B2R matchmaking event to meet the researchers. The matchmaking event resulted in the preparation of an assignment for the laboratory at the University of Maribor and discussing the terms and conditions of the collaboration, and consequently the collaboration between the company and the high voltage laboratory at the University of Maribor.

A group of inventors with yearlong experience in developing home and office automation solutions and energy-efficient devices from a public research institute developed an advanced smart doors & windows system management. The system addresses the problem of security and energy efficiency in a cost-effective way enabling efficient remote control and management via mobile devices, a web interface or contactless technology, which is easy to install and use. After the patent was granted for their invention, they turned to TehnoCenter at the University of Maribor to guide them in their endeavours to commercialize it.

A company for development and production of fire extinguishing and protection systems used mainly in transport, ICT, pharmaceutical and paper industry as well as in different types of ancillary premises, warehouses, laboratories, etc., is addressing the need for improving the existing tunnel fire safety in Europe as the current technology as well as the approach to have not proved to successfully put out fire in time. They are developing an advanced electric vehicle for extinguishing fire in tunnels, which will put out fire in tunnels in a very short time without any delay or waiting for the fire fighters, and thus prevent the fire to spread and cause damage on vehicles and tunnel infrastructure.
Their TFS project proposal was selected for funding in the SEM Instrument for Phase 1, and the company was looking for a R&D partner to join the project partnership for applying for Phase 2.

The aim of the project is to check the technical feasibility of an automatic system that simultaneously cleans marine fish nets and collects live shells.
The idea is to construct prototype of a specially designed system for automatic machine washing of nets in fish farms, which, instead of destroying all the pests on the nets (mostly spawn of various types of shells such as mussels and oysters), would be able to effectively wash the net and at the same time preserve live young shells, separate and conveniently store them so that they can be transported alive to shell farms and used there for further commercial production to the required commercial size.
The prototype would be designed as a system, consisting of a barge with shell containers and a specially designed automatic washing machine.
The expected results of the project are:

New products and technologies will provide innovative solutions such as remote leak detection to reduce leakage time and improve efficiency. Drinking water source Maglajani is one of two springs in the water supply system of Laktaši Municipality. Sources Maglajani consists of four wells with four 55 l / s pumps for drinking water production. Powertrains for pumps are electric motors, and it follows that electricity is the propulsion energy for pumps at the Maglajani source.The required amount of electricity for the operation of pumping stations at Maglajani source is 220000kWh per year.According to the calculations, the needs of the Maglajani source for electricity should be met by a solar power plant with 600 solar module and power of 160kW.A solar power plant of 600 modules facing south covers an area of approximately 1000 m².Photovoltaic modules are mounted on the grass surface. The modules will be mounted on a system of supports that are mounted on the foundations. The carrier system is resistant to all weather conditions because it is made of stainless steel and aluminum.An integral part of the solar power plant is the control system. The system of control, diagnostics, data storage, visualization constantly collects and disseminates all necessary values. This provides the user with all the information they need about the system at all times.Based on the given parameters, it can be calculated that a solar power plant of 600 modules and a power of 160 kWh will produce an expected electricity of approximately 220000 kWh in a year.The installation of a solar power plant makes the Maglajani source a self-sustaining system in energy terms. As an environmental technology, it is expected that after the installation of a 160kV solar power plant, CO₂ emissions will be reduced by about 70 tonnes per year.

The development of a new professional Master Degree in Marine Fishery that will meet market needs
Curriculum will provide students with theoretical knowledge and practical skills that are required by the labour market needs in that segment, which will have a positive impact on employability of students and matching of the demand for and supply of qualified labour in the Blue Growth sector. Furthermore, the new curriculum will offer more practice oriented opportunities than some previous study programmes, which will have a positive impact on the university-enterprise cooperation, opening door to new research opportunities and in general the exchange of knowledge and information among industry stakeholders and the academics. In long run, this can increase Albania’s competitiveness in marine fishery industry and internationalization of its products and know-how.
2. Enhancement of collaboration among Blue Growth stakeholders through the development of networking platform
The creation of the networking platform which will unite all stakeholders active in marine fishery field, from education institutions, graduated students, private business and organizations, will further contribute to that since it will provide the stakeholders with opportunities for new partnerships, the exchange know-how, the access to most actual market information, trends, qualified staff and/or employment opportunities.
3. Improvement of maritime training centres which provide professional training to seafarers operating on fishing vessels.
Improving the maritime training centre for professional seafarers operating on fishing vessels is another objective of the project since it allows us to penetrate and shape the marine fishery industry from another angle which is the field of exploitation and fishing. The current state of the training centres are not in accordance with IMO standards and EU legislation, for which reason currently trained seafarers do not own competences and skills which are recognized internationally and/or satisfy safety needs, environmental concerns or overall maritime security standards. Developing new basic and advanced courses for seafarers that are in accordance with IMO standards would have positive impact on environment protection, improving fishing and exploitation efficiency and international collaboration opportunities.

The European Commission has launched a Freight Transport Logistic Action Plan that is proposing a series of measures to promote the freight transport logistics, make intermodal transportation more competitive, create a framework which will allow European ports to attract investment for their modernization, put maritime freight transport on an equal footing with other transport modes and review progress made in development of sustainable mobility. Based on that plan, project MultiAPPRO combines different approaches to reach most of the goals highlighted by the EC. Therefore, overall objective of the project is development of intermodal transport in Adriatic-Ionian region. The first approach is focused on systematic collection and providing solutions to all bottlenecks, both on national or regional level. Since White Paper of EC identifies promotion as one of the priority activities in transport development, the next approach innovatively and systematically performs promotion of the intermodal transport in the region and also creates a network of promotional centers. Furthermore, to assure high quality service, project will design specific port quality measures indicators. Investments in the transport infrastructure require exceptional financial means. These are capital projects, in which cost rationalization is the key for the future competitiveness of that direction. MultiAPPRO project will thus create a model that will be able to measure the effect of each new investment, in relation to the existing situation, in a simple and logical way. Hence, it will be possible to bring objective and rational decisions about future investments in intermodal infrastructure, in the area of the entire Adriatic-Ionian region. Given the above, project outputs include development of two supported transnational cooperation networks: 1) Intermodal Transport Network and 2) Promotion network as well as a SSS and MoS promotion action plan and a Transport Performance Strategy. Intermodal Transport Network will be composed of partner representatives, national authorities and experts working on activities to improve regional intermodal transport while Promotion network will encourage establishment of new Promotion Centres into coordinated work of already existing Centres within European Shortsea Network. Furthermore, SSS and MoS promotion action plan will serve as a strategic document for performing common promotion campaign and finally, Transport Performance Strategy will enable actors to define the effect of any investment by defining the strategy and action plan for future investments in the region.

Equally impressive is the reduction of the effect of wave motion by 50%, up to a certain level of rough sea. At the heart of this intelligent navigation, there is an innovative control system. The computerized system analyses the state of the water surface through sensors and modifies in real-time the trim of the four wings, on which the boat glides on the surface of the sea. The pillars of the innovation are high-performance materials, designed and assembled innovatively; a network of sensors, customized for the specific task; a software able to adjust the trim of the boat during the navigation, 1000 times per second. The advanced system based on foils that can be electronically controlled and moved in real-time is unique. The foils (i.e., retractable and hydro-dynamic appendices) protrude below the hull and allow the SF15 to lift up from the water’s surface and sail for a certain distance, ignoring the waves thanks to its compensation system: the angle and length of the foils will be modified every thousandth of a second by an automatic control system.

A start-up company active in R&D in new materials & technologies for innovative furniture which can find suitable applications also in marine furnishing and in the shipbuilding sector. We are interested in developing a very light new furniture component which would reduce manufacturing and transportation costs. The project combines skills, machines and processing inherent in wood and plastic manufacturing. The project aims at creating new innovative products for the full exploitationof plastic material features, i.e. polypropylene (PP) honeycomb sheet. A methodology has been devised to use certain types of PP for the furniture sector, with appropriate modifications of processes, machines and accessories used in the wood sector. The objective is to create a light, water-repellent, furnishing elements for all sectors and applications that may require such properties, based on recycled material and machines and equipment present in companies in the furniture sector, thus minimising or even eliminating conversion costs. With a specifically designed hardware, the panel and theoutcomingpiece of furniture, made in monomaterial, are compliant with the 3Rs logic: reduce, recycle,reuse.
Both the material and the process for obtaining it are the object of a patent application which is the filing process.

Medium-sized company specialised in "flat surface lamination", currently an important leader both in the national and international market. Its core business is closely linked to the PVC windows segment, whose profiles are wrapped in PVC films. The company is also active in R&D new materials and technologies for innovative product which can find suitable applications also in marine furnishing and in the shipbuilding sector. In particular, the company is interested in developing a very light new panel/furniture component which would reduce manufacturing and transportation costs. The project aims at creating new innovative products for the full exploitation of plastic material features. Finishing panels of variable dimensions are edged or solidified with PVC/HPL/Acrylic and XPS foam shaped in folding and solidified with weather-resistant films and water repellent material inside the panel. The panel structure and its installation allow for air passage and avoid extreme stress by the wind. The junctions between the panels are made of special metal alloy elements, whch are mostly hidden by the panels themselves. These elements also allow for the panel to be resilient during climate change (expansion etc...). Possible applications of these panels are in internal and external furniture onboard, swimming pool coverings etc.
